The company’s product line-up includes round and strip conductors, rotating machine insulation materials, transformer insulation materials, transformer auxiliaries, transformer dielectric bio-oil and customer-specified composite components. The product port- folio is further enhanced by the supply of bearings, industrial tapes and signage and graphics materials, while application solutions, such as transformer insulation kitting, are also offered.
The portfolio includes locally manufactured products and exclusively represented international brands, including Isovolta, Elantas, Pucaro/Figeholm, DuPont and Comem. Wilec also distributes NSK and FAG bearings, as well as test equipment for rotating machines and transformers from companies like Qualitrol (Iris Power) and Risatti.

The manufacturing and conversion facilities of Wilec – a 350-employee company with a five-star safety rating and ISO 9001-2008 and IEC 60317 quality management certification – are located in City Deep, just outside the Johannesburg central business district, and Olifantsfontein, near Midrand. Its distribution centres are in City Deep, Durban, Cape Town and Middelburg.
Wilec’s customers include electric rotating machine and transformer manufacturers and repairers, automotive component manufacturers and wholesalers in the power, transport, mining and petrochemicals sector.
