Project Description
The project involves the construction of one of the world’s first and most powerful electrolysers for the production of green hydrogen, and entails the installation of an 88 MW water electrolysis plant.

The plant will produce 11 100 t/y of green hydrogen and 88 000 t/y of oxygen.

The hydrogen and the oxygen, a by-product of the electrolysis process, will be used as the gasification agent at the Recyclage Carbone Varennes biofuel plant, which will transform nonrecyclable waste into biofuels, providing an alternative to landfill.
