Name of the Project
Waitsia gas project Stage 2.

Location
The project is located about 16 km south-east of the Dongara-Port Denison town sites, in Western Australia.

Project Description
The Waitsia gasfield is ranked as one of the top five largest gasfields ever discovered onshore in Australia.

Waitsia Stage 2 will involve further development of the gasfield, with more wells and a new production facility capable of producing 250 TJ/d.

The proposed production facility will draw from up to eight production wells phased over a 20-year life cycle and will convey gas through the nearby Dampier to Bunbury natural gas pipeline. Two of these production wells are already developed and up to six more are planned to be drilled over the next few years.

The project further includes the installation of a gas-gathering system, comprising flowlines and hubs, and the installation of a flowline from the proposed gas plant for water reinjection through a disused petroleum production well.

During the development phase, an estimated 200 jobs will be created. During the operation phase, an estimated 12 to 15 permanent jobs associated with Waitsia Stage 2 will be created.
