JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Aim-listed W Resources has shipped its first load of tungsten concentrate since the start-up of its La Parrilla operations, in Spain, in September.

Tin separation from tungsten concentrate has now started at the plant, enabling the production and sale of both tungsten and tin in the coming months.

With tin prices having increased to around $20 000/t, this represents an important development for the company.

La Parrilla is expected to produce 2 500 t/y of 66% tungsten trioxide by mid-2017.
