The new extension will serve the community south of the current Tuen Mun town centre, near Wu King Estate, Siu Hei Court, Yuet Wu Villa and Tuen Mun Ferry Pier, in Hong Kong, China.

The TMS extension will enhance the railway accessibility to the TMS area by extending the West rail line for about 2.4 km from the existing Tuen Mun station to the proposed new TMS station.

Latest Developments
Expressions of interest were invited from civil and structural engineering consultancy firms for the technical study on the TMS extension in June. The civil engineering lead but multidisciplinary consultant will be required to liaise and work collaboratively with the corporation’s inhouse study team to review all technical issues and devise a feasible railway scheme, with due consideration of the environmental and operational impact on the new extension and the operating railway.
