The Competition Tribunal has given an unconditional go-ahead for a tie-up between Investec-owned Clarkbiz and Imperial Holdings-controlled Uvundlu.
Clarkbiz would acquire a controlling 50% of the issued shares of Uvundlu, which controlled subsidiaries collectively called the Goscor Group of companies.
Clarkbiz is involved in the processing and supply of rolled steel and the supply and the dismantling of formwork and scaffolding.
The Goscor Group of companies included Goscor Rental Company; Goscor Lift Truck; Goscor Power Products; Goscor Finance KLG; Goscor Access Rental; Goscor Hi-Reach Manlift, Bobcat Equipment South Africa, Goscor Cleaning Equipment and Goscor Cleaning Companies.
