Tough African conditions

Crushing & screening equipment supplier Pilot Crushtec International sees the African market as crucial to its future, and has a dedicated sales team of seven to service the continent. While African markets are mostly supported from Johannesburg, the company has a dealer in Namibia – Rex Quip – and Mining, Agriculture & Constructions Services in Dar es Salaam for the key Tanzanian market.

“Although our footprint is strongest in the southern African countries, we sell all over the continent, with the first machines sold in West Africa going as far back as the mid 1990s. We are well versed in operating in Africa,” says Africa sales manager Wayne Warren.

“However, what has changed over the past several years, is that we are no longer reactive, especially in countries further to the north. A proactive approach, actively looking for business has assisted in sales exceeding expectations.”

Vitally important is that Pilot Crushtec International’s products are built to meet African needs and conditions. “Our customers’ sites are often in remote areas where even basic services are unavailable. It is absolutely vital to have a reputation as a provider of quality turnkey products with impeccable after sales service,” highlights Warren.
