Tina Joemat-Pettersson is going to have her hands full as South Africa’s new Energy Minister. There is much to do and very little time in which to do it. She will have to get her head around the portfolio incredibly fast, so that critical decisions and actions can be taken to stabilise the electricity sector in particular, while laying the basis for greater future sustainability across the entire energy sector.
