Project Description
The Tilbury LNG facility can liquefy 5 000 gigajoules (GJ) of gas a day, and has a storage capacity of 600 000 GJ. The expanded facility will be able to liquefy an additional 34 000 GJ/d of natural gas and will add 1.1-million gigajoules of additional storage capacity.

The project includes the construction of a new storage tank and additional liquefaction equipment at the Tilburg LNG plant. This additional equipment will help meet the growing LNG demands of the transportation sector, remote communities and industry in British Columbia.

Jobs to be Created
There are 870 tradespeople and 60 apprentices working on the expansion project.

$400-million.

Duration
The equipment is expected to be fully operational in the first half of 2017.
