Teraco has partnered with JUWI Renewable Energies South Africa and Subsolar to develop the project. JUWI has been appointed to design and manage the procurement, construction and commissioning of the project.

Project Description
Teraco secured its first grid capacity allocation from State-owned power utility Eskom in February 2024.

The company aims to build a 120 MW utility-scale solar PV facility to connect to the national grid. The power generated will be wheeled across Eskom and municipal power networks to Teraco’s facilities across South Africa. 

Once fully operational, the plant is expected to produce more than 338 000 MWh/y.
