Project Description
The project involves the construction of a 980 MW combined-cycle, natural-gas-fired power plant, comprising two air-cooled gas turbines.

The power plant will be one of the cleanest and most efficient units in Entergy Louisiana’s generation fleet. The high-efficiency natural-gas-fired plant will be digitally enabled to optimise power plant performance. The plant is expected to cut carbon dioxide emissions by 40%.

Jobs to be Created
At the peak of construction, there will be more than 700 people employed directly on site. Once completed, the plant is expected to employ 31 people full-time.

Value
The plant’s estimated cost is $869-million, including transmission and other project-related costs.

Duration
The project is expected to enter commercial operation by June 2019.
