Project Description
The project involves the construction of a 44 MW hydropower plant.
The project includes the construction of a concrete rockfill dam, a spillway, a turbine plant, a discharge channel, the switchyard, the power line connecting the plant to the grid, temporary facilities and access roads.
Eiffage Génie Civil and Eiffage Én Work was expected to start in the first quarter of 2019 and to last for three years. The project will achieve a carbon dioxide reduction of 124 000 t/y.

Latest Developments
In strict compliance with the health provisions imposed by the Côte d’Ivoire government to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, and with a constant concern to guarantee the health safety of employees, Eiffage Génie Civil's international teams are continuing the preparatory work for the hydroelectric project.
In April, the construction of a cofferdam upstream of the future dam, designed to divert the waters of the Bandama river, allowed for the first rights-of-way for the structures to be built on the left bank of the river to be dewatered.
This first phase of preparatory work will enable Eiffage to conduct the additional geotechnical and topographical surveys needed by the company’s regional office, Biep.
The construction of the initial infrastructure pertaining to the site facilities (technical platform and base and/or office) is continuing.
