A South African Air Force C-130BZ Hercules transport aircraft deploys flares at the recent Africa Aerospace and Defence 2016 exhibition at Air Force Base Waterkloof, in Tshwane. The flares form part of the aircraft’s self-defence suite and are intended to decoy infrared homing missiles away from the aircraft.
