Schneider Electric appoints new Southern Africa energy VP

Automation systems company Schneider Electric has appointed Taru Madangombe VP of Energy in Southern Africa.

He will be responsible for managing and leading the entire energy team in the utility, intensive energy users and mining segment, while driving the achievement of business targets for the energy business unit in Southern Africa.

“We . . . are confident that his widespread exposure and expertise will assist us in upholding our key objectives,” Schneider Electric Anglophone cluster President Albert Fuchet said in a statement.

Madangombe holds a qualification in both engineering and business management, and has over ten years of experience in a variety of industries including utilities, mining, water, renewable energy, petrochemicals and most recently in the oil and gas space.
