RS Components extends range of high-performance and highly reliable laser modules

New additions from Global Laser target applications ranging from machine alignment to academic precision laboratory equipment

RS Components (RS), the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc, the global distributor for engineers, is expanding its range of high-performance and high-reliability laser-diode modules from Global Laser Ltd. Designed for use in many specialist applications such as machine alignment and process control, as well as for maintaining precision laboratory and R&D equipment, the range includes a series of robust and reliable laser diode modules for use in a wide variety of alignment and positioning applications.

The 39 new products include laser modules, such as the Survelase Maxi 635nm long-distance targeting laser modules. Available in 1, 5 and 13mW options, the devices feature analogue and TTL modulation with an excellent bore sighting accuracy and are suitable for applications where a small spot at a longer distance is required, such as for targeting, alignment and positioning.

There are also a number of additions to the Acculase series, including 5mW and 20mW 660nm-wavelength red lasers, which enhances our current offering, plus 1mW and 5mW 520nm direct-drive green lasers offering the highest level of optical and electrical performance whilst being very cost effective.

The new range also introduces three development kits, including the DCLM Lyte MV 35mW 660nm kit, which offers a digital control circuit allowing users to programme and control the laser output via USB interface using software developed by Global Laser.

Other products include the Alignment Laser GuideLine 2 series, which is a reliable and robust industrial alignment laser that comes with IP67 protection, a threaded barrel, and operates from standard industrial voltage sources.

Additionally, the new products include interchangeable pattern optics to enhance the existing LaserLyte Flex range for the projection of lines, crosses and grids. A selection of lenses and focus keys allows users to tailor modules to fit optical requirements by improving beam divergence or by changing spot/beam dimensions. There are also new laser safety glasses and other accessories including heavy-duty mounting clamps, leads, plugs and converters.
