Plascon Hysheen road marking paint is formulated to be long-lasting and durable
Road and runway markings play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of users, helping to indicate direction and keep motor vehicles and aeroplanes on course.
The markings need to be clearly visible, but it is also essential for the coatings to offer a number of other important features. In addition to providing a means of delineation, road marking paint needs to be durable, reflective, non-slip, quick-drying and weather-resistant.
Plascon affirms that its Hysheen road marking paint offers all of these features, including superior weatherability and industry-leading durability.
In addition, the paint formula is designed to withstand torrential rain or excessive heat and is exceptionally resistant to abrasion – particularly important for coating surfaces with heavy traffic. The paint is also quick-drying, which is an important feature for roads and runways that are in constant use.
Plascon explains that it created its road marking paint to be resistant to water as well as jet fuel, petrol and diesel. The water-based environment-friendly product can be applied by means of a roller, brush or spray technique and is available in four colours, namely golden yellow, white, black or red.
Hysheen road marking paint is designed to meet all of the South African Bureau of Standards’ 731 requirements and will also soon be made available in a recyclable container.
