Emerging natural gas and helium producer Renergen has appointed Brian Harvey as its new FD, effective May 1.
The appointment follows after former FD Fulufhedzani Ravele resigned last month to pursue other opportunities.
Harvey is a qualified chartered accountant and has previously worked for companies including Anglo American, Royal Bafokeng Holdings and Weir Minerals Africa, besides others.
He joins Renergen from dual-listed Resources Generation (Resgen), where he was employed as CFO.
“Finding an experienced CFO with a technical background in engineering, and experience in the oil and gas sector is not easy. [Harvey] brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise, and we look forward to his contribution towards streamlining the company’s finance department as Renergen moves from exploration into production,” says CEO Stefano Marani.
