Project Description
The H2Hubs programme is aimed at accelerating the commercial-scale deployment of clean hydrogen by establishing a national network of clean hydrogen producers, consumers and connective infrastructure.
The seven hubs will produce three-million tons of hydrogen a year, reaching nearly one-third of the US’s 2030 production target.
The selected projects include:
- Appalachian Hydrogen Hub, or ARCH2, which includes the states of West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky and Pennsylvania.
- California Hydrogen Hub, or Alliance for Renewable Clean Hydrogen Energy Systems.
- Gulf Coast Hydrogen Hub, or HyVelocity H2Hub in Houston, Texas.
- Heartland Hydrogen Hub, which includes Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota.
- Mid-Atlantic Hydrogen Hub, or Mid-Atlantic Clean Hydrogen Hub (MACH), which includes Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey.
- MachH2, which includes Indiana and Michigan.
- Pacific Northwest Hydrogen Hub, or PNW H2, which includes the states of Washington, Oregon and Montana.
