Project Description
The Puma II project encompasses the assembly of two packaging paper (kraftliner) machines, with integrated pulp production. The total paper production capacity of the new machines will be 920 000 t/y.

The installation will be done over two phases.

The first phase involves the construction of a main fibre line to manufacture nonbleached pulp, integrated to a kraftliner paper machine with a capacity of 450 000 t/y.

The second phase entails the construction of a supplementary fibre line integrated to the other kraftliner paper machine with a capacity of 470 000 t/y.

Potential Job Creation
During the peak of construction, about

9 000 jobs will be created. Once operational, it will employ an estimated 1 500 people directly and indirectly.

Capital Expenditure
The project involves an investment of $9.1-billion.

Planned Start/End Date
Work on the project will start this year. Each phase of the project will take 24 months to complete.
