Project Description
The project involves the modernisation of 135 stations on the PRASA rail network. The agency has concentrated on stations that have a high volume of commuters and the potential to increase business revenue.

In Phase 1 of the project, 27 stations will be upgraded, including Kempton Park, Limindela, Oakmore, Leralla, Olifantsfontein, Tembisa, Pretoria and Germiston.

The project will also include the construction of new stations and the development of an integrated access management system (speed gates, electronic information displays, public announcement systems and closed- circuit television), intermodal facilities and walkways, as well as commercial opportunities.
