Partnership backs African market

STRONGER TOGETHER The Austin ETT joint venture provides a single platform from which the Austin Engineering and Engineering Top Tech can jointly market, sell and support their products throughout Africa

Partnerships such as Austin ETT are structured to offer customers products and services across a broader spectrum.

The joint venture between Australia-based engineering company Austin Engineering and South African specialised mobile equipment manufacturer Engineering Top Tech (ETT) brings specialist advice, world-class products and professional after-sales service and backing of their mining support products to the African market, says ETT GM Africa sales and operations Hein Snyman.

Joining forces in February this year, the partnership provides a single platform from which the two entities can jointly market, sell and support their products throughout Africa.

Austin’s 50 years’ global experience in engineering and manufacturing mining-specific equipment and ETT’s 25 years of engineering excellence, celebrated this year, brings with it a wealth of industry and technical knowledge, states Snyman.

Offering a wider range of products, the companies will be marketing water trucks, fuel trucks, diesel lube trucks, lowbed trailers and tyre handlers through the ETT stable, while the Austin equipment range covers its “game-changing” two-piece bucket and the JEC and Ultima truck bodies. Through surface mining technology company CR Mining, ground engaging tools such as the DipperEdge and RazerEdge complete the Austin ETT equipment package offered to the African market.

With on-site service and support to match, Austin ETT also prides itself on being a leading component supplier with readily available select components that are essential for optimal machine operation.

Quality workmanship and performance is guaranteed in the full rebuilds offered on ETT and Austin equipment, as well as on non-ETT water, fuel and lube units, advances Snyman.

“Whether its specialised hydraulic maintenance, general modifications or repairs, boiler making or the assessment of the condition of equipment, Austin ETT offers on-site service as well as service and support at its operational facilities and strategic partner locations in South Africa,” he concludes.
