On-demand software solution makes digital twin technology accessible

The Bruce Digital Twin Operating System is an on-demand software solution

WorldsView has introduced the Bruce Digital Twin Operating System (bOS) from its partner Nextspace. A SaaS (on-demand software) solution, bOS is described as a complete digital ontology management system designed to create a digital twin that is understandable to both humans and computers. Its software creates a workflow for digital twin creation and digital twin management by providing a universal spatial user experience, which enables users to visualise and manage both assets and infrastructure. It is said to be a low-cost and low-barrier-to-entry solution with enormous functionality and competitive pricing when compared with other similar platforms.

An advantage is the system’s ability to integrate multiple types of two-dimensional (2D) and 3D spatial and non-spatial data to create a common viewing, collaboration, editing, and management experience. This helps to reduce the amount of time operators spend looking for validation documentation and information required to keep a process or plant running and enables quick decisions as to what remedial actions may be required, if any.

The system is an open data platform, designed to be more flexible than siloed software applications, enabling the management of various data complexities, multiple sources of data, and data structures found in the digital twin industry.
