Project Description
The project will be Europe’s biggest petrochemicals project in 20 years.

It is considered the cornerstone of the Orlen Petrochemical Development Programme.

The project will offer environmental benefits, with carbon dioxide emissions per tonne of product expected to decrease by as much as 30% once commercial operations start.

 The project envisages increasing the steam cracker’s current capacity of 640 000 t to 1.04-million tonnes.

The plant will be one of the most technologically advanced in the world from an environmental perspective.

The project will integrate petrochemicals operations with the production of clean fuels and will optimise the use of raw materials and resources in both processes.

Potential Job Creation
The project will increase PKN Orlens’ workforce by about 380.

Capital Expenditure
€1.8-billion.

Planned Start/End Date
The project is expected to start commercial operations in 2025.
