New sensors to end tuning costs

Sensor specialist Countapulse Controls has launched the new Leuze 318B series photoelectric sensor with the integrated and patented Leuze omni-mount, which it says will limit costs associated with fine tuning sensors.

This innovative mounting mechanism, which is standard on the Leuze 318B series, enables easy fine adjustment of the sensor to ensure accurate sensing and reliable performance, even in the most difficult sensing applications.

Specially developed mounting nuts on the Leuze omni-mount enables the sensor to be mounted at a variety of alignment angles, about 8º in every direction. By using this inno- vative mounting, it is possible to position the sensor extremely close to the material or goods being monitored.

The Leuze 318B series photoelectric sensor has two complementary switching outputs and can be used in light and dark switching operations. This sensing device offers several other major advantages, including highly visible yellow and green status displays for easy operation and a visible Bright Vision light spot, which improves visibility for accurate alignment.

It is equipped with Leuze’s A2LS technology, which actively suppresses extraneous light, making the photoelectric sensor less susceptible to ambient and stray light, further increasing its reliability.

The sensor’s robust plastic housing pro- vides reliable use in rough industrial environments, and the Leuze 318B series is capable of operating in temperature ranging from –40 ºC to 60 ºC.

The Leuze 318B series offers highly accurate sensing and, with its mounting mechanism, gives users the ability to achieve fine adjustment at no extra cost.

Meanwhile, Countapulse Controls, which is also the local supplier of rail transport technology developer Deuta Werke products, offers solutions to make new technologies easier to control and, therefore, safer for the rail sector.
