A new type of roof hook is available for use in solar installations.
The roof hooks are welded in one piece and come in 6 mm or 8 mm bar thickness. They are made of high-strength steel grade S700MC in accordance with European Standards 10149-2: 2013-12 and have been granted European Technical Approval. Their strength meets the requirements for mechanical strength, stability, structural integrity and durability stipulated in European Union Regulation 305/2011.
Schletter’s Eco and Rapid 2+ series promise reduced installation time and increased cost savings. Photovoltaic systems on tiled roofs with wooden substructures can be installed with fewer fixing points per kilowatt of output, which also saves material costs and reduces installation time. In addition, the roof hook is treated with a corrosion-resistant zinc flake-coating.
Modular System
The company has developed a modular system, allowing applications to be installed using large-volume standard stock items that are used in specific combinations. The modular system aims to simplify warehousing and logistics for wholesale partners and gives customers access to preferential prices based on bulk orders.
The Alu Tile roof hook with replacement metal roof tile is one example of the company’s modular design concept. In future this design will include a universal fastener, which can be combined with any metal roof tile on a one-size-fits-all basis.
The group has also added similar modular solutions for corrugated and trapezoidal sheet metal roofs to its product range. These are ready-made hanger bolt sets, which, in combination with various mounting plates and adapters, cover most kinds of roof shapes.
The Single Fix trapezoidal sheet system has also been designed for use in a modular system, allowing customers to order and stock larger quantities of the universal trapezoidal sheet metal holder and combine it with application-specific rails and screws.
Furthermore, the company has reduced the need for custom-made products. To this end, its Fix T and Fix E trapezoidal sheet metal fasteners will no longer be manufactured specifically for each project, but will be available in standard sizes as catalogue products.
