New Cesa president commits to partnering for value-for-money infrastructure rollout

Industry association Consulting Engineers South Africa's (Cesa's) newly elected president Olu Soluade, who is also AOS Consulting Engineers CEO, has committed to partnering with industry stakeholders for sustainable, value-for-money infrastructure development.

Soluade is a professional engineer and professional construction project manager with more than 30 years’ experience. He holds a Master’s in Industrial Engineering, and a BSc. Hons. degree with Second Class upper in Mechanical Engineering. He was VP of Cesa before taking up a higher position as president.

Succeeding Zitholele Consulting MD Sugen Pillay, Soluade was elected as Cesa president for two years during the industry body's annual general meeting on November 24.

BVi Group MD David Leukes was elected deputy president of the organisation.

Soluade is a member of several professional bodies and serves on the membership committee of Cesa. He is an assessor for the built environment professions body South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions, and was industry body Engineering Council of South Africa mechanical engineering professional advisory committee chairman for 4 years.

Soluade is currently serving as American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers South Africa chapter Government Affairs Committee (GAC) chairperson and president.

Further, he holds the qualification of accredited tier designer expert from the US digital infrastructure performance Uptime Institute, he is a Green Building Council of South Africa green star accredited professional and has a US Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design advanced professional accreditation.

Soluade is also CNET certified data centre designer, and a data centre energy practitioner.
