Monitoring drivers’ health saves lives and reduces costs

The Valecus wearable device monitors drivers' health data

A cloud-based platform that utilises automation, artificial intelligence, integration capabilities, advanced features and smart algorithms to measure the state of a user’s wellbeing aims to help companies reduce driver-related accidents and incidents.

The Valecus platform is supported by customised, wearable monitoring devices that detect and monitor users’ health data in real-time, providing information and alerts electronically or technologically.

The cloud-based platform uses automation and algorithms to extract employee wellness information, such as heartrate, blood pressure and blood-oxygen levels, which is then communicated to the driver and relevant management by means of email and cell phone message.

The device is designed to enable employees to continue working uninterrupted while data is captured, processed and sent to the cloud-based platform. Valecus devices also support offline capabilities and features and the platform is able to create a historical log of each driver’s wellness data, captured from the wearable device. The platform includes pre-built reporting capabilities and supports custom-built reports specific to individual trucking company’s requirements.

The safety and privacy of users’ data is ensured and the platform supports and adheres to the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR, and the South African Protection of Personal Information Act, or POPIA. As a cloud-based responsive platform Valecus is available to registered users around the clock from a mobile or desktop device and is also able to integrate with existing systems.
