Johannesburg-based Monitor Engineering, which is the sole agent for the US’s Spraying Systems Co, has been supplying spray products into the Southern African market for the past 65 years.

Its product range includes general spray nozzles, air-atomising nozzles, automatic spray nozzles and controllers, hand-held spray guns, pulp and paper spray products, steel-industry products, tank-cleaning products, air products and spray dry nozzles. These are used in a variety of industries.

Monitor Engineering also provides a range of services, including on-site tank-cleaning evaluation, spray optimisation programmes, nozzle maintenance workshops and spray seminars, besides others.
Says a spokesperson for the company: “We have a fully fitted spray laboratory containing equipment such as a conveyor with automatic spray guns to test coating applications, a 25 hp blower with air knives to perform drying tests, a sealed tank for tank wash demonstrations, an automatic self-contained spray unit, a portable fogging system and a high-pressure pump system for testing/demonstrating high-pressure misting nozzles.

“We also offer on-site demonstrations with some of this equipment.”

According to the spokesperson, Monitor Engineering’s principal, Spraying Systems Co, has the broadest product range in the industry. It has several manufacturing facilities and sales offices in more than 90 countries. Spray nozzles, turnkey spray systems, air systems, custom fabrication and research and testing services comprise the 75-year-old company’s offering.
