Firm acquires German heat exchanger producer

COMPREHENSIVE PRODUCT OFFERING Nexson Group says its acquisition of Thermowave could supplement the further growth of its export business activity

Multinational boiler manufacturer Nexson Group says its acquisition of German quality-plate heat exchanger manufacturer Thermowave GmBH as a stand-alone entity will strengthen and complement its portfolio, particularly Thermowave’s gasketed and semi-welded plate heat exchangers, which the group notes as key process components with technological superiority and innovation.

Thermowave was a part of leading Germany-based refrigeration components provider, Gunter Group.

The Nexson Group asserts that it is a focused and technically oriented process components producer with more than 30 years of experience in innovative welded heat exchangers and pressure vessels. The company highlights sustainability, energy efficiency and heat recovery as fundamental throughout its operations.

“With the trust of its customers, Nexson Group is growing successfully and globally with over 98% export business activity.”

Further, owing to the expansion of its production capacity, coupled with the ongoing increase in its portfolio of solutions – “which is driven by innovation and dedication with uncompromising technical performance” –Nexson Group is now a “leading and trusted” heat exchanger components supplier worldwide.

Thermowave’s product portfolio includes the thermolineEco, thermolineVario, thermolinePure and the thermolinePlus. The company characterises these products as highly stable, efficient, and flexible in design and construction.

Relying on a broad offering of materials, frame designs and sizes, Thermowave constructs and designs plate heat exchangers according to varying customer specifications. The company’s product portfolio includes standard heat exchangers for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) applications as well as highly specialised equipment required for industrial refrigeration, the food and beverages industry, the chemicals and process industry and the energy sector.

Its head office is situated in the German town of Berga and it employs more than 100 people. Thermowave says its 30 years of experience and continuous development ensures that its products are of a high standard.

Nexson says that it will expand its activity, with Thermowave, within high potential growth sectors such as the nascent hydrogen sector, in the transformation of renewable fuels, and in the energy and carbon capture industries, which rely on safe and efficient heat transfer technology.

“We are confident that Nexson Group, with the acquisition of Thermowave, will [capitalise on] significant future growth opportunities with positive impacts for customers globally, [who are] in search of a wide range of reliable, quality heat exchangers from one single source,” the group concludes.
