Lighting company offers solutions for various applications

LUMINAIRE EXTRAORDINAIRE Bulkhead luminaires are made for Africa’s harsh industrial environments

Local lighting products manufacturer Nordland Lighting continues to offer project-specific engineering to clients through its range of luminaires, including bulkhead, high bay, floodlight and explosion-proof lights, as well as energy-saving light-emitting-diode (LED) lighting solutions.

Nordland Lighting – through close cooperation with the South African Bureau of Standards – ensures that its products comply with all relevant local specifications, which include South African National Standards, and is International Standards Organisation-accredited.

Additionally, Nordland Lighting also manufactures according to IEC 60598 standards, which is a luminaire standard intended to quantify general lighting for luminaires, incorporating electric light sources for operation from supply voltages of up to 1 000 V.

The company also provides customers with a free application engineering design service to reduce the risk of implementing inappropriate lighting designs.

“Our Illumination Engineering Society of South Africa-accredited lighting team combines decades of expertise across all lighting disciplines with the latest lighting software,” notes Nordland Lighting sales manager Johann Lamprecht.

Therefore, Nordland Lighting can design, manufacture and supply the best solution for every application using either fluorescent, high-intensity discharge or LED technology.

The company’s luminaires are manufactured from either stainless steel, die-cast aluminium or glass fibre-reinforced polyester, and can be used in volatile environments such as petrochemical manufacturing plants and prisons to mention a few.

“Nordland Lighting’s extensive luminaire range are robust enough to meet the requirements of the mining and other industries in Africa and globally,” concludes Lamprecht.
