The Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA) has appointed two new executive management team members in key organisational roles.

Ntsoli Maiketso has been appointed as the Lesotho Highlands Water Project (LHWP) Phase II divisional manager, while Kholotsa Moejane has been appointed as divisional manager corporate services.

“The appointment of the new divisional managers is the culmination of a robust and rigorous recruitment process. I am confident that both bring skills and experience that will benefit the LHDA and the LHWP,” said LHDA CEO Tente Tente.

The appointment of Maiketso, a civil engineer and project manager who initially started his career on Phase I of the LHWP, specifically on the Mohale Tunnel and Matsoku diversion, comes as preparations for the Phase II major works procurement are under way.

He joins LHDA from the Trans-Caledon Tunnel Authority where he worked on multiple water infrastructure projects including the Berg, Mzimvubu and Olifants River projects.

Maiketso, who is registered as a professional engineer and professional construction project manager, obtained a BSc from the National University of Lesotho, BSc Eng (civil) from the University of Cape Town and MSc (Project Management) from the University of Pretoria.

Meanwhile, Moejane, a chartered accountant with over 20 years of experience and joining from the Liqhobong Mining Development Company, will oversee the LHDA’s information systems, human resources and corporate planning and risk management branches.

He is a member of the Association of Chartered Accountants and registered as a Chartered Member of the Lesotho Institute of Accountants.

Moejane holds a number of qualifications including a postgraduate diploma in Business Administration and Bachelor of Management and Leadership both from the University of Free State and certificate in Knowledge Management from the University of South Africa.
