Many are concerned that Zimbabwe is simply not in a position to hold elections before the July 31 deadline confirmed recently by the Constitutional Court. Moving ahead, observers warn, will result in a process that has little chance of being credible. Besides legal challenges, much responsibility rests with Southern African Development Community leaders to ensure a sensible political resolution.
