Latest technology improves clients’ on-boarding experience

Next month, cloud-based platform company Passport 360 will release the latest version of its Passport 360 application (app), which incorporates the latest robotic process automation technology to improve the platform and assist clients to on-board even faster.

“The app will include digital signatures, hazard identification, tool and equipment tracking and licensed learning. It will also include most of the desktop functionality and allow for all workflow approvals and documents to be viewed, uploaded and approved on the go, live and in real time from anywhere using mobile devices,” says Passport 360 director and co-founder Siobahn Whitehead.

Whitehead adds that Passport 360 does not aim to replace current safety and enterprise resource planning systems, but rather work with them as an integration layer that is easy to configure and creates a universal dashboard and central repository of critical safety information.

“By sharing critical information with all relevant parties in real time, we aim to reduce risk and help clients on their journey to zero harm,” she points out.

The application’s access control functionality may be used as a standalone system, integrating directly with turnstile gate hardware or touchscreen access hardware, or can integrate with SAP or other access software such as Skycom and Honeywell.

Passport 360 allows for improved performance in procurement and on-boarding times, compliance management, increased productivity of contractors as well as time and safety management while supporting self-regulation and transparency.

“KBC Health & Safety is a reseller of Passport 360 and embeds the system within KBC’s holistic on-boarding offering to clients,” says Whitehead.

She adds that KBC provides contractor hubs that assist clients with the physical on- boarding of contractors, including inductions and using the Passport 360 system to track and monitor safety in real time.

Where e-learning is required, KBC will provide the development of the e-learning programmes that Passport 360 houses and deploys through its built-in learner management system (LMS) at a more affordable price than that of standard LMS systems. This is owing to the fact that the system’s pricing model is not user based.

Passport 360 tracks renewals of training using the competency module and notifies learners when they need to renew their training.

According to Passport 360 co-founder Simon Warne, Passport 360 is working on activations for mining company Anglo American Platinum’s Rustenburg base metals refinery; construction company Wilson Bayly Holmes-Ovcom; infrastructure and building services business Concor Buildings and provider of integrated power and automation solutions ABB Industrial Automation Power Generation.

What does it mean to activate the app for these companies? What will it do for them?

The activation process depends on the client’s internal commitment and the overall change management process. This usually takes between two to ten weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the client’s requirements.

“Once Passport 360 has been activated the client will see the benefits straight away, including greater transparency through real-time dashboards and faster on-boarding times,” says Warne.

Through the new developments that Passport 360 is implementing, individuals will be able to practice safety on the go with Passport 360’s full mobility app, he concludes.
