Land Bank appoints risk management experts to leadership arsenal

The Land and Agricultural Development Bank of South Africa (Land Bank) has appointed Sakhumzi Diza chief risk officer and Dorothy Kobe GM of its treasury department, effective August 17.

Diza holds a Master's degree in agricultural economics and has more than 16 years’ experience in banking and financial agriculture.

He has worked at other commercial banks within credit risk management functions and has been involved in structured finance and private equity investments.

The Land Bank says he brings experience and expertise across different risk areas that will strengthen the risk management function of the bank.

Kobe holds a Master of Science degree in mathematics and is a chartered financial analyst.

She has 15 years’ experience in the treasury environment in both private and public sectors, where she has held positions including head of structured finance, risk manager and head of capital markets.

The Land Bank says she brings to the bank expertise in financial risk management and debt issuance.
