The project is currently the largest wind facility in South America.
The Lagoa dos Ventos facility will comprise 230 wind turbines and, once operational, it will be able to generate 3.3 TWh/y while preventing the emission of more than 1.6-million tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
