Project Description
The project entails the construction of a 14 MW run-of-the-river hydropower station that will comprise three turbines of 5.5 MW each and associated earthworks, as well as allied infrastructure connecting the plant to switchyards in Uganda and Tanzania.

Potential Job Creation
About 250 people will be involved in the construction of the plant.

Once operational, about ten permanent staff will run the plant.
