A new series of data isolators optimised for medical applications promises an effective layer of protection for critical applications that require uninterrupted flow of data.
The isolation transformers are specifically suited to electronic equipment and personnel protection in hospitals, medical laboratories and industrial facilities and are aimed at ensuring a reliable layer of surge protection.
Transtector Systems, an Infinite Electronics brand and provider of end-to-end power and signal integrity solutions, recently launched the new series of data isolators.
The components are self-contained devices that protect network equipment and personnel from damaging surges and power anomalies that may occur across network cabling. The company asserts that the installation and operation of the units is quick, easy and efficient, requiring a simple plug-in of the device inline between two 10/100/1000 ethernet cables and equipment on each end is then said to be effectively protected.
Each unit is compliant with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive and certified to meet the EN60601-1 European Medical Device Directive.
