EML was established in 2011 and has a national footprint in the petroleum industry. EML’s operations are to provide petroleum and re-fuelling services to local and international partners. EML’s main operation is situated at the OR Tambo Airport Precinct, Denel Aviation Kempton Park Campus (ACSA) with ARMSCOR verification for operations in a National Key Point and for provision of Aviation Fuel and Petrol/Diesel Services.
EML’s combined operations include fuelling, defueling, storage, calibration and deliveries to all MRO and other fuel related services. EML has previously supplied fuel to various airports around South Africa, including OR Tambo, Polokwane International, Bloemfontein, Kimberly and Cape Town. EML continues to service a number of its customers locally and remains key in the petroleum industry.
EML has a well trained and experienced staff compliment with industry knowledge and the ability to fulfil its current orders.
EML commenced business rescue proceedings on 15 July 2019. Devon Brikkles was appointed as the appointed business rescue practitioner (“BRP”) of EML on 15 July 2019. Refilwe Ndlovu was appointed as the joint BRP on 18 February 2020 and Brikkles resigned as the joint BRP on 1 June 2020.
The BRP hereby invites companies and individuals to submit offers for the acquisition of the assets/business of EML. The process will be concluded pursuant to two phases, namely, the submission of binding offers and the selection of a preferred bidder by the creditors of EML.
The interested parties shall address written correspondence to the BRP advising her of their interest to acquire the assets/business of EML by no later than 17h00 on 14 September 2020, to the contact listed below:

Once the expression of interest has been received, you will be sent a process letter from BRP, which will set out the requirements by which an interested party is to comply in order to participate in the Process. The initial requirements (which are more fully set-out in the process letter) are that interested parties must:
- Sign a confidentiality agreement; and
- Pay a refundable deposit of ZAR 10,000 (ten thousand South Africa Rand)
Following the receipt of the above, an information pack will be sent to all interested parties that have complied with the requirements contained in the process letter.
