Industrial Fluid Solutions (IFS) is a specialised supplier of fuel- and lubrication-handling equipment. Based in Witbank, the coal producing capital of South Africa, IFS distributes throughout South Africa and Southern Africa, with a distribution network reaching as far as Ghana in West Africa.
This family-owned business which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, currently employs 72 people and offers various specialised products dedicated to the safe and efficient handling of fuel, oil and lubricants, as well as mobile technical services, turnkey project management capabilities, in-house design and steel fabrication facilities.
Its ever-expanding product offering includes items ranging from pumps and hose reels to dispensers, meters and sophisticated lubrication systems. The total solutions approach includes transfer systems based on the concept of closed-loop refilling of lubricants, fuel and grease, while the hydrocarbon management offering ensures accountability in terms of consumption.

When it comes to mobile solutions, the IFS product range is regarded as one of the world leaders in dispensing lubricants and fuel from a mobile platform, a fact that was recently highlighted when the company was awarded a contract to provide all the fuel- and lube-carrying support vehicles for Xstrata’s Tweefontein opencast mine. The unique design fitted to an on-road truck chassis features all the tanks and equipment to deliver oil, oil evacuation, coolant and grease functions safely and efficiently, while a unique control system allows the operator to activate each from ground level.
