The reaction of business to Narendra Modi’s election victory in India has been decidedly more positive than has been the case with the African National Congress’s win. Some argue that relations have deteriorated over the last five yeas and that President Jacob Zuma will need to make a concerted effort to mend them if he wants South Africa to break from its current low-growth and low-employment shackles.
