The facility will be situated in the towns of Aulnay-sous-Bois and Gonesse, over the border between the departments of Seine-Saint-Denis and Val d’Oise, in France.

Project Description
The facility will be the nerve centre of two future Grand Paris Express lines. The project involves the construction of the operations centre for Line 16 and 17 of the Grand Paris Express.

The future operations centre will join up with Line 16 through a tunnel about 1.5 km long and with Line 17 through a viaduct about 1 km long.

The nerve centre will group together three functions in one location:

• a centralised control room, responsible for collecting all data pertaining to Line 16 and 17 in real time, coordinating train movements, and monitoring and regulating traffic;

• a maintenance and sidings site, where rolling stock can be delivered, overhauled, maintained, repaired and parked;

• an infrastructure maintenance site, which will guarantee the operating condition of metro equipment such as tracks, engineering structures and energy distribution.

Potential Job Creation
The project will involve about 400 employees working on site during peak periods.

Capital Expenditure
The contract is valued at €181-million.

Planned Start/End Date
The works will begin in the summer of 2020, with delivery scheduled for early 2024.
