Grain SA incoming CEO Dr Pieter Taljaard
Industry body Grain SA has appointed Dr Pieter Taljaard its new CEO.
He will succeed Jannie de Villiers from September 1.
Grain SA says Taljaard brings a wealth of grain and farming economics expertise to this role, having served in a number of senior leadership positions over the past years.
He is currently the cereals and industrial crops market strategy lead at Bayer Crop Science.
The appointment of a new CEO follows a thorough recruitment process that was undertaken by The Talent Connection and overseen by a special committee.
Grain SA chairperson Derek Mathews says it was crucial for the organisation to make the right appointment that can lead the organisation into the next era.
