Project Description
The project involves the construction of a liquefaction project that will have the capacity to produce about 16-million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) a year.

Potential Job Creation
About 9 000 jobs will be created over the five-year construction period and over 200 permanent jobs during operations.

Value
The project will cost more than $10-billion to implement.

Duration
Construction will begin in the first quarter of 2019 and the facility is expected to start up in 2024.

Latest Developments
ExxonMobil and partner Qatar Petroleum made a final investment decision in February to proceed with development of the Golden Pass LNG export project.
