Project Description
The project is being developed under Egypt’s first round FiT Programme. It will be located in Egypt’s New and Renewable Energy Agency’s 37.5 km2 Benban 1.8 GW PV solar park, comprising 39 separate PV plots.

The project entails the construction of a 50 MW solar PV plant.

It comprises a single-axis tracking system of about 185 840 PV panels, with an estimated capacity of 50 MW ac and a peak capacity of 57.61 MW dc.

Power will be sent to an inverter and fed into the utility power grid system through the Egypt Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) substation.

All power will be sold to EETC under a 25-year power purchase agreement.
