JSE-listed property company Fairvest has assured shareholders that no damage of a structural nature has occurred to its properties in KwaZulu-Natal as yet, amid the flash flooding being experienced in the province.

The group has 16 assets in the province, representing 11% of its total portfolio by gross leasable area.

Fairvest is, however remedying instances of water supply shortages, as well as leakages caused by large volumes of rain in a short space of time.

KwaZulu-Natal has been experiencing extreme weather conditions since April 9, with many roads and buildings having been damaged or destroyed in the floods.
