The World Energy Council (WEC) on Monday announced that professional services firm EY had signed on to be a platinum sponsor for the World Energy Congress.

The twenty-fourth World Energy Congress will be held from September 9 to 12 in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates.

“The spirit of this collaboration is to promote innovation in the context of the energy transition, leveraging EY’s deep industry and business expertise and the council’s extensive global network and neutral positioning for thought leadership.

“The council and EY will work together to shape actionable insights that will inform energy leaders about how innovation and emerging technologies contribute to the transformation of the energy sector,” said WEC secretary general and CEO Christoph Frei.

During the event, EY global energy leader Benoit Laclau, EY global oil and gas leader Andy Brogan and EY global advisory leader Serge Colle will discuss reshaping the future of mobility, the role of gas in the global energy transition, the role of governments in the future of energy and scaling up the entrepreneurial approach.

EY will also host a pavilion in the exhibition space, where the company’s senior leaders and subject matter experts will host live talks on key thought leadership topics, as well as showcase solutions that are designed to help energy companies succeed.
