With extreme weather exacting a toll in countries such as the UK, the US and Australia, South Africa’s near-perfect climate is surely the envy of many. But the same cannot be said about the economic climate, which has deteriorated and which could have extreme consequences for a country already grappling with poverty, unemployment and inequality.
