Over 1 000 m of strike length has been confirmed at Canadian mineral exploration company Thor Explorations’ Makosa tail prospect, in Senegal, in a number of parallel lodes including a 300 m high-grade zone in a previously untested area.

President and CEO Segun Lawson says the Makosa Tail prospect continues to deliver encouraging drilling results with numerous significant intersections reported from the near-surface zone in the follow-up programme to the initial discovery holes that were drilled in late 2020.

“This is an excellent start to the larger exploration and resource definition drilling campaign and has achieved the initial objective of testing Makosa Tail, which is open along strike and at depth,” he enthuses.

He notes that the rig will be moved to Makosa North to test the northern extension of Makosa once the ongoing drilling between Makosa Tail and Makosa has been completed.
