EAs Africa continues to make a mark on the global scene, Messe München International is for the first time bringing one of the largest Construction and Mining trade fairs in the world to our shores with Bauma Africa. Set to take place at the Gallagher Convention Centre from the 18th – 21st of September, Eqstra will be present at this pioneering event. The show stopper will be the new Generation 9 Terex TA400, an articulated dump truck built with a host of features that are ideally suited to our local conditions which is distributed by Eqstra Heavy Equipment.

“Features like low fuel consumption, high power-to-weight ratio and other features designed to improve productivity come into the buying decision and once our machines are operational on a site, our customers certainly do notice it and that is what has got the market talking at the moment. Word-of-mouth is becoming a huge factor in the sale of our machines and the positive feedback our customers are giving is certainly positive,” states Calvin Fennell, Senior Sales Manager for Eqstra Heavy Equipment.
The bold white Terex machine will certainly have the crowd talking.

Attending the show under the Eqstra umbrella will be 600SA, the distributer of Fassi cranes and Socage aerial platforms. On show will be a specially designed Low-Profile Mine Spec Fassi Tractor Mounted Crane as well as a Fassi truck mounted crane. Knowing the growth and specific requirements of the South African mining industry, Fassi in junction with a mining company have designed a low profile crane installed on existing specialised vehicles to meet the needs of underground mine conditions. Fassi has an extensive network of experience, skills and professionalism all based on a manufacturing scheme that is dedicated to achieving the best quality from every point of view: performance, working capacity, safety, research, innovation and product knowledge.

Also on show will be a Socage Aerial Platform unit mounted on a UD Truck, UD80 Chassis.  Socage has specialised in manufacturing aerial platforms since 1981 and has affirmed itself as a Market Leader. Giovanni Fassi, the son of Fassi Cranes’ founder, Franco Fassi, will be attending the show. Having such an important delegate grace our stand not only shows the magnitude of the show but the interest that Bauma Africa is generating at home and abroad. On exhibition will also be a Konecranes SMV 10 tonne heavy duty forklift which can be used both in the mining and construction industries.

A host of other equipment will be on display from the Eqstra group which will be located on stand A34 in the outdoor area.
