Project Description
FFI and Incitec Pivot plan to conduct a feasibility study to convert FFI’s ammonia-production facility at Gibson Island to run on green, renewable hydrogen. Currently, the facility uses natural gas as a feedstock.

FFI also plans to build an on-site electrolysis plant, which will produce up to 50 000 t/y of renewable, green hydrogen for conversion into green ammonia.

Potential Job Creation
The project, if successful, will safeguard several hundred manufacturing jobs in Queensland.
